Jade

I know it’s been awhile since my last post, but a lot has happened. First my computer was acting up so I took it to get repaired, unfortunately it was beyond fixing. I thought I would have to wait to get a new one when my husband won $500 on a scratch off lottery ticket. He called to tell me to come and pick out the computer that I wanted. So now I have a new laptop and am still in the process of installing my programs on the new computer. I also am having problems with my nails splitting and peeling and have not been able to take any pictures of my polishes either. However I do have one that I did before my old computer died and since I had all my pictures saved on my external hard drive I am going to post about it.

The polish I used is one I bought at Ross, Jade a metallic by JLB Cosmetics. I found it easy to use and I like the color. I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat, two coats of Jade by JLB Cosmetics, and a top coat of Double Duty by Sally Hansen. It wore well and I received many complements while wearing it.

Now for the pictures.

Have a great week!

Electric Pink Sparkle

Sometimes you just want a bright fun look. This is a layered bright sparkly look. It was easy to create and fun to wear. I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat. Electric Pink by Revlon is the main color. I used one coat and took pictures of just that layer. Even without a top coat it was shiny dry. To get the sparkle I used a pink glitter by Cosmetic Arts. I finished the look with a top coat of Double Duty by Sally Hansen. I took a lot of pictures so you could see both with and without the glitter. This was fun to wear and I had several people tell me they liked it.

Have a Great Week!!!!

Amethyst Ablaze by Maybelline

Here it is Friday evening, and I’m off both jobs today. I decided to take time today for me and just took it easy. My husband is at work and my son is in the back watching a DVD. Awww, me time!!! So as I am posting I am also watching TLC and redoing my nails. Today’s post is about a mani from last week. It’s a metallic purple from Maybeline called Amethyst Ablaze. This is much a prettier polish on then it shows in the bottle, and I received many complements while wearing it. I used a base coat of Nail Envy Matt by OPI, two layers of Amethyst Abaze by Maybelline, and a top coat of Double Duty by Sally Hansen. I took several pictures so you could see how it came out.

Have a great Weekend!!!!!

Dakota by Julep

I want to wish everyone a happy Labor Day, and say that I am sorry that there was no post last week. It was a very busy week with the first week of a new school year and back to working two jobs. For those that don’t know me very well I used to teach full time, but now I am a substitute teacher during the school year and also work at the local Wal-Mart nights and weekends. So next time you miss my posts you will know that life was just too hectic that week and I was too worn out to post. On the bight side I did have time to redo my nails a couple of times and take pictures.

This is another of the August polishes by Julep. Dakota is a rose gold metallic chrome that has a nice shimmer. It was easy to work with and covered in one coat. I used one coat of Nail Envy by OPI as a base coat, one coat of Dakota by Julep, and the top coat is Double Duty by Sally Hansen. I really like this color and received several complements on it. The pictures were taken a day or two later and you can see some wear and a chip on the tips of the nails.

Now for the pictures.

Go Eagles!!!! Black and Gold!

This is the last week of summer vacation here and today was meet the teacher day at the schools. Ryan and I went to his school and met all his teachers. Fourth grade is going to be switching classes for all their classes so he will have five teachers plus art, music, and PE teachers. He has all his supplies and new clothes so he is ready. He is also excited about switching classes this year and seeing all his friends.

Once more I will be subbing in the schools and to get ready for the new school year I am sporting a new look. Woodville’s school mascot is the eagle and colors are black and gold. So I had to do something to show my school spirit. I don’t like dark colors most the time, but I do have some including a black polish that I bought this summer. So Go Eagles!!! I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat, Then I used one coat of Black Lingerie by Revlon, one thin coat of Going for Gold by The Color Institute , and finally a top coat of No Chip Acrylic Top Coat by Sally Hansen. The gold is just a light dusting of gold on the black and I really think it came out very nice and shows lots of school spirit. Go Eagles!!!

Now for pictures. It was cloudy and overcast so I wasn’t able to get any in the sun today.
