Just Spotted the Lizard

Here it is Monday morning and I thought I would post the polish that Ryan picked for me to wear for his birthday. He went through all my polishes and picked Just Spotted the Lizard part of the Spiderman collection by OPI. It was part of my birthday gift from my daughter, Mary. I love the way it changes color when you move your hand. It goes on easy and covers well.

Now for the details, I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat, then two coats of Just Spotted the Lizard also by OPI, and finally I used Sally Hansen Double Duty for my top coat. This is such a fun color to wear because of the way it changes. I took several pictures trying to show the different colors. I hope you enjoy seeing them. Have a great week!

Optical Illusion

Since I’m off work today, I had the time today to redo my nails. The old polish was beginning to chip and show some wear and needed to be changed. My son Ryan suggested that I use a blue polish this time. Today I went with Nail Envy Matte by OPI as my base coat. Then two coats of Optical Illusion by China Glaze. One coat gave good coverage but two looks better. I used Sally Hansen’s Double Duty Base and Top Coat to seal and smooth out the glitter. Ryan says that he likes my new nails that they are very pretty. I took some pictures, but it was cloudy and the color isn’t very good. Of you look close at the bottle in the pictures you can see a hint of blue but it shows as silver on the nails in the pictures. Maybe that is part of the optical illusion.

A Little Sparkle

Another day at work over and I thought I’d post about the latest polishes I used to spice up my nails. We have to wear the same old thing every day so I use nail polish to add something personal to my look. It’s the little things the bring us joy! I used OPI Nail Envy Matte as a base coat. Then two coats of Rose by Julep and finally a no name pink glitter by Cosmetic Arts just because I like a little sparkle. I took some pictures to show off how it came out.

Red White and Blue

I have started getting ready for the 4thof July. Today a painted my first design on my nails. I used a base coat of Nail Envy by OPI. Then I used 2 coats of Energy Source by L.A. Colors because it a little streaky. Then I used Ruby Stilletos by Sally Hansen and Blue Iguana by China Glaze. And I finished it all off with a topcoat of Nail Envy. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s not bad for doing all myself.

All pictures were taken outside on a cloudy day.
