Craving Coral by Revlon

I am again without my car. 😦 We took it in for a front-end alignment yesterday and it needs the bearings replaced. It should be ready today sometime. So I came home and did my nails in a bright happy color. It’s amazing how something as simple as a different nail color can change your mood, and pick you up. Then add a little glitter and now your fingers and mood sparkle!

My nails have been chipping and peeling so I started with a base coat of calcium builder by L.A. Colors to help the nails. I added two coats of Craving Coral by Revlon. It is nice bright creaming color that went on even and smooth. To add bit of sparkle I added one coat of Don’t You Wish by Pure Ice. It is a clear polish with tiny holo glitter. For a top coat I used L. A. Colors basecoat-topcoat.

Now for the Pictures (don’t look at the cuticles)

Electric Pink Sparkle

Sometimes you just want a bright fun look. This is a layered bright sparkly look. It was easy to create and fun to wear. I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat. Electric Pink by Revlon is the main color. I used one coat and took pictures of just that layer. Even without a top coat it was shiny dry. To get the sparkle I used a pink glitter by Cosmetic Arts. I finished the look with a top coat of Double Duty by Sally Hansen. I took a lot of pictures so you could see both with and without the glitter. This was fun to wear and I had several people tell me they liked it.

Have a Great Week!!!!

Go Eagles!!!! Black and Gold!

This is the last week of summer vacation here and today was meet the teacher day at the schools. Ryan and I went to his school and met all his teachers. Fourth grade is going to be switching classes for all their classes so he will have five teachers plus art, music, and PE teachers. He has all his supplies and new clothes so he is ready. He is also excited about switching classes this year and seeing all his friends.

Once more I will be subbing in the schools and to get ready for the new school year I am sporting a new look. Woodville’s school mascot is the eagle and colors are black and gold. So I had to do something to show my school spirit. I don’t like dark colors most the time, but I do have some including a black polish that I bought this summer. So Go Eagles!!! I used Nail Envy Matt by OPI as a base coat, Then I used one coat of Black Lingerie by Revlon, one thin coat of Going for Gold by The Color Institute , and finally a top coat of No Chip Acrylic Top Coat by Sally Hansen. The gold is just a light dusting of gold on the black and I really think it came out very nice and shows lots of school spirit. Go Eagles!!!

Now for pictures. It was cloudy and overcast so I wasn’t able to get any in the sun today.

Tuscan Sun

I may not be able to go to Italy, but I can wear the Tuscan Sun on my nails. It’s like having a little touch of Italy with me to spice up my life. Now for the details: one coat of Nail Envy by OPI as a base coat, one coat of Tuscan Sun by Revlon, and one coat of double Duty by sally Hansen as a top coat. This polish was easy to use and covered in one coat.

Birthday Boy

Thursday was my son Ryan’s birthday. He is now 10 years old and has made it to double digits, or a preteen. We celebrated Saturday by inviting his best friend, Gus, to come with him for Pizza and a movie. I had to work until two, so we all met at Pizza Hut and had pizza and birthday cake. He had a Spiderman cake and matching plates, cups, and napkins. Also 3-D glasses that made Spiderman jump off the plates and napkins. Both boys thought that was cool.

After Pizza Hut we drop the left over pizza and cake at the house and headed to Lufkin for a movie. Ryan and Gus were in the back seat playing video games and watching Captain America. Gus hadn’t seen the movie and Ryan wanted him to see it. We had a little time to kill before the movie so we went by Target and visited with Mary at work. Ryan just loves to visit his big sister. Then we went to Game stop so Ryan could use his gift card. After looking at almost every DS game they had he picked Tron.
Then it was off to the movies. We saw Ice Age Continental Drift. We all laughed at the crazy antics of Scrat and the gang. Then no trip to Lufkin seems to be complete without a stop at Ross. Ryan got another car model to put together, Gus got a lap desk, and I found more nail polish.

One last stop before heading home was Jack in the Box to meet Mary and have a bite to eat. Since the polish came in boxed sets, and I had some of the colors already, I gave the doubles to Mary for her collection. Then we headed home as Ryan played his new game and Gus finished watching Captain America.
What a Day!!! Now for pictures. Enjoy!!!
